This 90-page strong Issue includes Part IV of our extensive 2024 Mosel Vintage Report, Part IV of our 2024 Dry German Riesling report, and a look-back at the 2025 Auctions.
The 2024 growing conditions were “refreshingly normal” (except for the frost), to use the words on one grower. Does that mean it’s a boring vintage? On the contrary, we believe it’s a truly great vintage in the making.
We review the growing conditions, describe the wine styles, and share our buying guide!
Part IV of the Vintage Report includes 10 detailed Estate Reviews (with 180 wines sampled). It also provides detailed tasting notes for another 120 wines from a further 20 Estates. The report also includes recent releases from recent vintages (mainly from 2023).
The part IV of our 2024 Dry German Riesling report includes an overview (with our buying guide) of this contrasted vintage in which the growing conditions were far from easy. We also provide another 70 tasting notes from 18 Estates.
The 2025 Auctions (Der Ring 1899 in Trier, the VDP in Trier, and the VDP in Bad Kreuznach) held last November proved quite contrasted in terms of price trend. We look back at these unique events and share some additional tasting notes of some of the finest Riesling on earth.
