Sadly, the world of Riesling and the Mosel have lost a Grande Dame of Riesling: Annegret Reh-Gartner passed away earlier this month. We have enjoyed many great moments with Annegret and pay tribute in this Issue to this energetic, positive thinking and always kind woman.

The annual Trier Auctions saw the sale of some of the finest 2015 Mosel Riesling. We have a look-back at the events, the pricing, potential bargains and provide the remaining tasting notes as well as all hammer prices.
For the first time, we have a look at the 2015 vintage for dry German Riesling in general, i.e. for “GG” and equivalent. Besides a review of the vintage, we highlight over 50 recommended dry Riesling from outside of the Mosel as well as 50 stunning dry Riesling highlights from the Mosel.
We provide full tasting notes of the Riesling wines on offer (20 wines) from some of the finest producers in Germany, including some rare dry wines as well as high-end fruity and dessert wines.
“Where can I access mature Mosel Riesling?” As an answer to this regular question of our readers, we provide here detailed tasting notes for 20 superb mature Mosel wines currently commercially available at such leading Estates as Joh. Jos. Prüm or Markus Molitor.
