This beautifully juicy Spätlese by Weingut Reinhold Haart will put a big smile on the face of lovers of powerful and light Mosel Riesling.
Theo Haart has been following a strict diet of quality winemaking (including low yields, late harvesting and extended maturation on fine lees) at his Weingut Reinhold Haart for over two decades now.
He thereby transformed what was a fine but relatively unknown Estate into one of the Mosel superstars. This search for perfection combined with the inherent opulence from the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen has generated many exciting wines over the years which shine through powerful intensity.
The 2007 vintage suited the Reinhold Haart style particularly well. The vintage's kick of acidity helped taming and enhancing some of the inherent intensity from the Estate's vineyards.
In particular, the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Spätlese will put a big smile on the face of lovers of power as well as those partial to lightness.

Crystal clear in color, the wine exhibits a very pure nose of white peaches, apricot flowers, orange peel and tangerine. Its aromatics (driven after bottling by an explosion of exotic fruits) have firmed up and gained in elegance since: there is a great sense of finesse and delicacy now. The signature on the palate, however, is still one of exuberance and creaminess, with exotic notes, passion fruit and strawberries. The wine manages to remain light and fresh thanks to an irresistible zesty feel in the finish, which provides extra length and prolongs the pleasure. This is a hard-to-resist Spätlese from the 2007 vintage that should age beautifully well. 2015-2030
